New Year!

New Year!

Welcome Back to all of our lovely families! We can't wait to spend another year with you all.

This year we are very excited to welcome back Sharon, Annette, Aleysha, Bek, Nicole, Paula, Natalie, Ruth, Chelsea, Naomi and Alisha with the return of Bec in February from her two years of maternity leave.

There have been some changes to the rooms with Nat the new room leader and Ruth in the Koala Room. We also have Annette back in the Platypus room with Aleysha and Chelsea. The Wallaby room remains the same with Bek as the room leader and Nicole. Alisha, Bec and Naomi will float between the three rooms and help out where they can.

Already this year we have had Australia Day and the Chinese New Year. For Australia Day, we celebrated all week (23.1.2017-27.1.2017) eating Australian foods, playing in water, pretending we were at the beach, playing cricket and doing lots of Australian themed crafts.

Today we celebrated Chinese New Year, the year of the Rooster. The children made lanterns and masks, they watched videos of the parades and the displays that go on during the New Years celebrations.

All of these experiences increase the children’s ability to achieve outcome 2, Children are connected with and contribute to their world in the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia.
